Osirix is at the same time a DICOM PACS workstation for medical imaging and an image processing software for medical research (radiology and nuclear imaging), functional imaging, 3D imaging, confocal microscopy and molecular imaging. I usually take a series of 4 x-rays and I have to disable contrast when I switch to the next x-ray or risk it accidentally going full black and having to "play" with the image to get it back to normal. There are many times I will show someone an x-ray and if I don't remember to disable the contrast right away it will go completely white or black. I would very much like the option of completely turning off the contrast control or having it greyed out by default, like the angle controls are.
No certain function seems to cause it, it just happens. The Bad: I do get the occasional crash, I can not reproduce it but it can happen very randomly with no rhyme or reason.
Images look very good on the iPad, easy to use. The Query/Retrieve function is quick between the two. The Good: This app works very well with the Osirix Viewing program on my (2010) Mac Mini.
